June 17: OF to rejoin D-backs in D.C.
An MRI taken of Carroll’s left side did not show any issues, and he is set to rejoin the D-backs when they open a three-game series with the Nationals on Tuesday in Washington. Carroll left the June 16 game after feeling some discomfort in his left side following a throw. While the team flew to Washington on Sunday night, he stayed behind to have the MRI taken.

June 16: SS to have MRI on hamstring
Triple-A Reno shortstop Lawlar (No. 1 D-backs prospect/No. 8 overall) left Reno’s June 15 game with a hamstring issue after hitting a triple in the bottom of the ninth. Lawlar is scheduled to undergo an MRI on June 17 to determine the extent of the injury. Lawlar was on the IL earlier this year after undergoing surgery on his right thumb. He returned to action on May 29.

10-day/15-day injured list

RHP (right hamstring strain)
Expected return: TBD
Gallen threw a 31-pitch bullpen session on June 11 and a 37-pitch session on June 14. He is scheduled to throw a simulated game June 18. It's uncertain whether he will need another sim game after that. After throwing his sixth pitch of the game in the D-backs' 3-2 loss to the Mets on May 30, Gallen called over catcher Gabriel Moreno and wound up walking off the mound with a trainer. He was diagnosed with a strained right hamstring, which the club later announced as a Grade 1 strain. Gallen was placed on the injured list the next day. (Last updated: June 14)

OF (strained left hamstring)
Expected return: Week of June 17
Thomas has begun a rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League and will likely move to Triple-A Reno to continue it. He had been scheduled to come off the IL on May 7, but per manager Torey Lovullo, Thomas felt something in his injured left hamstring after playing in a rehab game on May 5. He received a platelet-rich plasma injection to alleviate swelling on May 13.

Thomas injured his left hamstring when he grounded into a double play in the first inning on March 31 against the Rockies. He underwent an MRI exam on April 1 that showed a strain in the hamstring that was greater than a Grade 1, but not quite a Grade 2. (Last updated: June 14)

Kelly said he felt something grab in his shoulder while playing catch in the outfield at Oracle Park on April 20. He was transferred to the 60-day IL on May 2. (Last updated: June 8)

Rodriguez has begun a throwing program, but the team is taking things very slowly since his setback last month. His initial throwing program was paused after he experienced some discomfort in the left lat following an April 9 bullpen session. On April 17, he was moved to the 60-day IL.

The southpaw was removed on March 19 against the Cubs in a Cactus League game with left lat tightness after completing his warmup tosses for the second inning. An MRI taken the following day showed a strain, and he was placed on the injured list to open the year. (Last updated: May 24)
