Sr. Director of Partnership Development
David Adams is in his fourth season as the Sr. Director of Partnership Development leading the team’s new business partnerships efforts. Prior to joining the Royals, David served as the Director of Corporate Partnerships for Sporting Kansas City. During his time with Sporting Kansas City, David was a key departmental leader, overseeing the sales team and driving revenue by spearheading efforts such as the sale of the team’s jersey front.
He first stepped into Major League sports in 2017 with the New Orleans Saints and Pelicans as an Account Executive of Partnership Sales. After three successful revenue driving seasons, David was promoted to a Manager-level role within the organization. During his time in New Orleans, David onboarded several new team partners with major brands such as, Ford Motor Company, Subway, Arthur J. Gallagher, and Bacardi. Additional professional experience includes the Iowa Wild Hockey Club, Learfield, and Des Moines Sports Commission.
David graduated from Simpson College with a degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and Political Science and is currently working on completing his M.B.A. at the University of Iowa. He also served as a three-year letter earner for the Simpson College Football Team. David and his wife, Courtney, live in Liberty, Missouri with their sons Jude and Miles.
