Reggie Sanders, a former outfielder in Major League Baseball, is celebrated for his distinguished 17-year career as an accomplished player. Known for his unwavering commitment to community and outreach, Sanders has been actively involved in initiatives to grow minority support in baseball, advocate for autism awareness and support youth sports. Additionally, his dedication to honoring American troops serving overseas is demonstrated through his travels to the Middle East.
Currently residing in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Sanders resides with his devoted family, including his wife, Wyndee, their four daughters, and their grandson, Campton.
Throughout his playing career, Sanders achieved notable milestones, including being a 1995 All-Star, a 2001 World Series Champion and a three-time National League Champion. His legacy as the fifth player in Major League history to record at least 300 home runs and 300 stolen bases during his time with the Royals solidifies his impact on the sport.
Following his retirement from playing in 2007, Sanders seamlessly transitioned to a pivotal role with the Royals, serving as the Special Assistant to Baseball Operations/Leadership Development. In this capacity, he plays a significant role in the organization’s success by cultivating and supporting the next generation of players on and off the field.
