First responders dedicate their lives to protecting and serving our communities—and behind every hero is a family that sacrifices alongside them. First Responder Fridays, created by AJ and Erin Hinch, is an initiative that gives these families a well-deserved night to relax, reconnect and experience Tigers baseball together.
Inspired by the Hinch family’s respect and admiration of first responders and their family sacrifices for the greater good of our community, First Responder Fridays is about more than recognition—it’s about creating special moments for families who often miss time together due to the demands of the job. Each Friday home game, a first responder and their loved ones will be selected and invited to Comerica Park to enjoy a night of fun, excitement and Tigers baseball, surrounded by a community that appreciates their service.
From hearing the roar of the crowd to sharing a ballpark meal, watching a home run soar and making memories in the stands, First Responder Fridays is a chance to step away from the stress of daily life and simply enjoy the game as a family. It’s a way for us to say thank you—not just to first responders, but to the families who support them every step of the way.
