What Will the Funds Make Possible?
Children in under-resourced communities face significant learning loss over the summer, making it harder to keep up in the next school year. To close this gap, Jays Care launched R.B.I. Summer Edition in 2023—a free, afternoon baseball program that enhances the Toronto District School Board’s half-day summer school curriculum.
Now entering its third year, R.B.I. Summer Edition will continue at 13 schools within the Toronto District School Board, engaging more than 2,300 students in Grades 1 to 8 and employing 450+ youth staff from local communities to lead programming.
Thanks to the generosity of the Bassitts and Toronto Blue Jays fans like you, more than $438,000 has been raised in the last two years. These funds help kids in priority neighborhoods to have access to safe, inclusive, and free baseball and learning opportunities all summer long. Together, we are helping children to succeed through the transformative power of baseball.
Let’s make year three the biggest yet—Pitch In today!
