Injury: Median nerve entrapment
IL date: March 27 (15-day IL, retroactive to March 24)
Expected return: Potentially late May
Status: Swanson had a setback April 29 and felt "forearm soreness" before his scheduled rehab outing in Single-A, so he will be evaluated by the club's medical staff. (updated April 30) More >

Injury: Right thumb inflammation
IL date: March 30 (15-day IL)
Expected return: Potentially late May
Status: Threw off a mound again April 29 in Toronto, ramping up his pitch count slightly from last week's 27-pitch session. (updated April 29) More >>
RHP Ryan Burr
Injury: Right shoulder inflammation
IL date: March 27 (60-day IL, retroactive to March 24)
Expected return: Potentially June
Status: Transferred to the 60-day IL on April 27. This was not due to a setback, though. (updated April 27)
RHP Nick Sandlin
Injury: Right lat strain
IL date: April 20 (15-day IL)
Expected return: Potentially mid-May
Status: Sandlin had be working through this issue, but the Blue Jays wanted to get out ahead of it, so he'll shut down from throwing for a few days. (updated April 20)
RHP Alek Manoah
Injury: Right UCL surgery
Expected return: Midseason 2025
Status: Manoah threw off the mound again on March 22, marking the second time since his elbow surgery. (updated March 22)
LHP Ricky Tiedemann
Injury: Tommy John surgery (left elbow)
Expected return: Potentially late 2025
Status: Has physical gifts few prospects do, but he has battled injuries, and this recovery is his biggest challenge yet. If he gets back into game action by the end of the 2025 season, that's a success. (updated Feb. 13)
