Made six starts for the Angels in his second Major League season, going 1-4 with a 6.23 ERA (21 ER/30.1 IP) and 28 strikeouts with the club...Earned his lone win of the year in his season debut, June 27 vs. Detroit...Set career highs in innings (eight innings) and strikeouts (eight), allowing just four hits while holding the Tigers scoreless...The start was the first of his Major League career, and he became the first pitcher to toss at least eight scoreless innings with eight or more strikeouts in his first career start since Colorado’s Jason Jennings in 2001...He became just the fourth pitcher since 1901 with at least eight scoreless innings, eight strikeouts and zero walks in his first MLB start, joining George McQuillan (1907 Phillies), Russ Ford (1910 Yankees) and Ron Herbel (1964 Giants)…Over his final five starts with Los Angeles, went 0-4 with an 8.46 ERA (21 ER/22.1 IP) and a .347 batting average against him...Played the majority of his season with Triple-A Salt Lake, compiling a 9-7 record with a 5.42 ERA (71 ER/118.0 IP) over 22 games and 21 starts...The Atlanta native was acquired by the Braves from the Angels in exchange for LHP Mitch Farris on Dec. 20.

Pitched to a 1-1 record and 2.19 ERA (12.1 IP - 3 ER) with nine strikeouts in three appearances out of the bullpen...Recalled by Angels on Sept. 7...Made Major League debut that night in relief vs. Cleveland...Notched first career MLB victory on Sept. 29 vs. Oakland (5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 SO)...Posted a 1-2 record and 2.15 ERA (29.1 IP - 7 ER) with 42 strikeouts in seven Minor League starts in 2023.

2022

Made 21 starts for Triple-A Salt Lake and ranked second on Bees staff in innings pitched (102.1) & strikeouts (83)...Honored as Pacific Coast League Pitcher of the Month in September after pitching to a 2.38 ERA (22.2 IP - 6 ER) with 16 strikeouts across four starts...Earned PCL Pitcher of the Week twice during that span...on three consecutive starts May 22 - June 5, while posting a 2.04 ERA (17.2 IP - 4 ER) and 18 strikeouts...Had contract selected by Angels June 11 (his 25th birthday)...Was on Angels active roster for two games, but did not appear in a game before being optioned back to Salt Lake on June 14...Remained with Bees for rest of season...In final five starts of year for Salt Lake, went 2-1 with a 1.82 ERA (29.2 IP - 6 ER) and 23 strikeouts...Pitched 7.0 scoreless innings Aug. 30 at El Paso and 7.1 scoreless frames Sept. 19 vs. Sacramento.

2021

Made professional debut with High-A Tri-City on May 9 vs. Vancouver...Marked first time pitching in a regular-season game since starting Auburn University’s Opening Night game in 2019, when he suffered an elbow injury after 2.0 innings pitched that would require Tommy John surgery...Honored as High-A West Pitcher of the Month for June after going 3-0 with a 1.29 ERA (28 IP - 4 ER) and 39 strikeouts in five starts for Dust Devils...Also won High-A West Pitcher of the Week for June 7-13 and June 21-27...Promoted to Double-A Rocket City in July and made nine starts for Trash Pandas before finishing year with four starts for Triple-A Salt Lake...Named and MiLB.com Organization All-Star and was rated by Baseball America as Angels #18 prospect in midseason rankings.
